Wow. Yeah, that’s a mouthful, right?
Say you’re someone in a relationship and it just so happens you’re about to set up housekeeping with your counterpart. You’re going to meld 2 separate households into one.
You’ve found the perfect place to do so purchased and closed on the property and in the midst of moving in. You’ve already done some of the heavy lifting in scoping out the lay of the land as it were, getting a basic understanding of what rooms are going to be for what.

Master bedroom is rather obvious of course but are you going to have a dedicated playspace in one of the bedrooms or is the whole house basically are to be fair game for play? Outbuildings or garage used for play or perhaps a workshop where one or both can craft/fix/alter your assorted toys?
My pet and I have had this conversation many times. While we’re nowhere near looking much less finding such a place (honestly I’d love to have a property of at least 30-50 acres [12-20 hectares]) to make sure no prying eyes were causing issues; real estate prices these days might make that impossible in the future. As with all things it depends on where you are and what’s around you. And who, can’t forget about that.
More than a few times we’ve discussed the nuts and bolts of how we’d set things up. There are additions I definitely like to encompass into any eventual household. King size bed is a must, though I’d like to have one sturdy enough to promote play, though some tend to be more expensive than others. Fortunately there are workarounds and one doesn’t necessarily have to take out a second mortgage to bring their dreams into reality.
One figures if you’re in the lifestyle you’re not completely isolated so at some point you’re going to have guests. Or family visiting so you have to make certain that visitors aren’t necessarily going to be smacked in the face with your lifestyle choices. There needs to be boundaries and even a few locked doors to keep out prying eyes. That’s where a basement or attic can come in handy. That being said, just pick one, amiright? Got to have that dungeon vibe, or maybe an attic playspace does the trick for you.
Stay tuned for Part 2, because that’s when we get into dynamics…. Oh, you thought this was the end? Sorry, not even close.
oooo, can’t wait for part 2! lol if we ever get the house to ourselves it would definitely be a full house affair but as you mentioned, not all rooms could ‘look’ kinky. i think the attic and basement would both get a face lift, and the bedroom of course. no one uninvited should be in there anyway! 😉
