Home Stretch

There. That’s the goal. It’s been too long since I’ve seen her car rounding the corner and coming up to my house.

We’re down to counting days. Soon it will be hours. We don’t tend to drag it down to minutes or seconds, that gets tedious and difficult to keep up with. I could add a countdown timer to the blog, but I think that would be overkill, amiright? Yeah, I think so too. Lol, I found a plugin.

I got my vacation approved, since I have to get paid for the time I take off. She doesn’t get traditional vacation in her work, she just tells management that she’s taking such and such a date to such and such a date, and they schedule coverage while she’s away. It bites that she doesn’t get compensated, but what can you do? Just grin, bear it and be grateful we’re both gainfully employed and can afford this.

UNlike our last visit, we’re not really planning anything per se. EXCEPT for the timing of our play. The last time we left it towards the end of the day, and found out that neither of us were terribly interested in playing a lot when we were worn out from what we were doing during the course of said day. Too, last visit we didn’t have a lot of days to spend together, so we had to cram as much as we could into the limited time that we had. We planned a little better this year, (and since we were unable to get together in ’24, I was able to convince my wife about a couple more days to make up for that) and at the very least we need to test out the massage table and Sybian I acquired this year.

It’s getting down there… Vacation is going to be SO SWEET this year!
