Wow! Look at this beauty! And it’s not bought at some store either. It was handmade by my Pet over the past couple of weeks through her local munch group. Which makes it all the better because it’s made with love and is unique, as it was made by her, and not mass produced for gazillions of other kinksters.
The nicest thing about projects like these are the uniqueness of them, as well as the personalized touch that goes into it. Too, the person making the item learns the method, and can teach others, as well as make more if they wish, for themselves, or perhaps starting their own cottage industry (if they so wish), but the learning of a new skill is pretty dang awesome.
When she told me about the project, she gave me all the details, except for the color choices. I wanted that to be a surprise, to see what she went with. The project took a few weeks to complete, as she was doing it at ‘crafting day’ meetings with her friends from the munch group. She said the toy has a pretty good sting to it, and I would expect that’d be the case, considering it has the two leather ‘tongues’ that make up what a quirt is. I’m very much looking forward to giving it it’s first dance when we get together, I’m confident that it will take a very prominent place in our toy collection.
Needless to say, I’m hoping that this is something that I myself might be able to learn, as my favorite leather flogger/whip creator passed away a couple of years ago, and she wasn’t able to pass on her business and expertise to someone else, like was done for her 20 years prior. Luckily, I was able to purchase a sizeable collection of floggers from a fellow Fetlifer, but one rarely sees that product offered for sale anymore. Which is sad in one respect, but understandable in another, as this person’s wares were very highly coveted even all that many years ago.
It goes without saying how proud I am of my Pet of taking the time and effort to craft this for us. She deserves all the credit in making something for us that will last for a long time, and bring us much joy and enjoyment over our future playtime. Thank you Pet.
That is a beautiful quirt! I’m glad you explained what it was; I wasn’t familiar with that particular tool. And so beautiful that she made it!! đź’ś
